Originally named the International Anti-Poaching Foundation (IAPF), Akashinga is a pioneering conservation organization that empowers women to lead the fight for wildlife and habitat protection. Our rebrand’s primary goal was to emphasize the women’s strongest trait—their natural instinct to protect. To capture this essence, we suggested the name "Akashinga," meaning "The Brave Ones" in Shona, their native language. The new name, along with the refreshed look and feel, was crafted to reflect the bravery, strength, and protective qualities at the heart of their identity.
