When given the opportunity to redesign a series of books, I wanted to take on the challenge of capturing the raw mix of beauty and chaos that Jeannette Walls is able to articulate so incredibly in all of her literary works. The Silver Star, The Glass Castle, and Half Broke Horses explore the dysfunction of familial relations, adversity, love, and pain. Each book cover works to reflect tainted symbols of hope prevalent in each story.
